Retrospective of a New York theatre visit

Reading about the recent death of Terry Teachout, drama critic, podcaster, and playwright, reminded me of  my 2014 stopover in New York to see theatre and enjoy fine dining before embarking on a cruise. One of the plays I saw was Treachout's Satchmo at the Waldorf.

I dived down my rabbit hole of remembering my many wonderful visits to New York and reread my blogs about them indexed here. Only to realize that some of the links need updating. Oh well - more work to keep me from zonking out in front of the TV.

The last stopover in New York was in 2018 after my transatlantic voyage on QE2. Sadly from what I read about Manhattan and the current squalor and violence around Times Square, I have little desire to go back until the city is cleaned up. So sad for the theater community.
