Photographer, sculptor, poet, dancer, Tatiana Rivero Sanz, has a solo exhibition of her work - onceuponatimetana -at The Blank Tank Art Gallery, 148 Alexander Street in Gastown.

I had a chance to chat briefly to Tatiana at the opening and learn how her work integrates concepts of movement in space and time across the arts...

The Vancouver Zoomer Show 2015 - billed as a Lifestyle Expo for the 45+ is on at the Vancouver Convention Centre today and Sunday. I volunteered for a short stint at the Vancouver chapter CARP booth, after which I wandered around the exposition. Had some unexpected encounters with people I had not seen since I retired. So nice to catch up. Among the many exhibits ranging from travel to healthcare there were two booths that I wanted to feature in this post...

Dance shoes! Whether out for a night of social dancing or taking a class, a common topic of discussion among woman dancers is the difficulty of finding the perfect dance shoe.  Few people have feet that perfectly fit every shoe manufacturer's regular lasts, so it really is a lot of trial and error to find a shoe in which one can comfortably dance for a couple of hours.

Reversing aging - and bath-time luxury. How could these two concepts fail to capture my attention.

The 2015 Wellness Show at the Vancouver Convention Centre as usual had a plethora of interesting booths and exhibits. I was quite hungry when I arrived after two hours of dance lessons, an hour working through Franklin Method techniques and then a walk down to the Convention Centre.

The sweet and crunchy Gala apples being given out by Nesters Organic Market, the major show sponsor, were very welcome, as were the samples of fresh pears and the bottled water that I found later in my wanderings..
