Review From The Seat

Read my reviews of plays, musicals, dance shows and performance-related events, seen through the eyes of a regular, arts-loving bum-in-the-seat - of the playhouse or auditorium. Agree or disagree but add your thoughts as comments.

Vancouver, BC: Set in Los Angeles in the late 1940s this musical blends the technicolor, real world story of Stine (Donal Thomas-Cappello), author of detective novel City of Angels, and the film noir world of Stine’s screenplay which he is adapting from his book. Best of Festival, The Dance Gallery Festival.

On multiple media lists for performance invitations from around North America, it is rare that I find myself in a city on the same night for which I have an invitation. Despite my lifelong love of different forms of dance, both doing and watching, reviewing contemporary dance is way outside my comfort zone.
